Good News for Esher Graduates
Congratulations to our Class of 2022. Latest HESA data reveals degree results achieved by Esher Alumni who graduated from UK Universities in 2025, consistently out perform other providers,
87.8% achieved a first-class or upper-second-class degree
Former Esher Sixth Form College students who graduated from UK universities in the 2024/2025 academic year have achieved outstanding results, outperforming peers across the entire education sector, according to official figures released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).

The 2026 HESA dataset reveals that 87.8% of Esher’s Class of 2022 leavers secured a first-class or upper-second-class (2:1) degree. This remarkable figure surpasses the degree outcomes achieved by graduates from sixth form colleges (79.2%), state schools (78.2%), and independent schools (87.2%) nationwide.
The academic success is even more pronounced at top-tier institutions. The number of Esher alumni graduating from Russell Group universities, rose to an exceptional 94.8% achieving a First or 2:1. This figure again outperforms every comparison sector across the country from sixth form colleges (87.7%), state schools (86.6%), and independent schools (91.2%).
Commenting on the achievement, Principal Dan Hards highlighted the significance of the national statistics and the long-term impact of the college’s support system:
“Esher students are not only progressing to leading universities but succeeding there at the very highest level.”
