Welcome from Your Student Union
A very warm welcome to our new 6.1 students who have joined the College.
What an amazing first few weeks we’ve had!
The Student Union started off the new term by hosting a very successful meet and greet, which included pizza and ping pong in the cafe for everyone to enjoy. This was a great way to get to know the 6.1s who have just joined and answer any questions they may have about the college.
We have also just had our annual Fresher’s Fair, where our new students were able to discover all of the amazing societies and experiences that we offer here at Esher Sixth Form College. Our stand consisted of multiple fun games, including one where the students had to guess how many sweets were in a jar. A huge congratulations to the pupil who ended up winning the jar!
With such a big year ahead of the 6.2s the Student Union felt it was important to offer guidance on how to tackle the UCAS application as it can be very daunting. We have created a video which can be accessed through our Tik Tok and Instagram (@eshertsudentunion), simplifying the process in 5 simple steps, which the 6.2s can use as a template for the process. We are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the term has to offer and have been planning lots of activities for the whole college to get involved in for Halloween, including a special breast cancer awareness week. We encourage everyone to wear pink on Friday 2 October, to show our support.
