​On Wednesday 13th December, BTEC Health and Social Care students had the pleasure of hosting their annual Christmas party. Guests were invited from Moore Place care home in Esher and The Royal Cambridge care home in East Molesey.

LRC Book Review Competition

​​Congratulations to 6.2 student, Annabel Walker, for winning first prize in the Esher College Book Review Competition. The competition was run from September until October half term, by our Learning Resource Centre, with the aim of encouraging students to read more for pleasure.

SWR Train Conductor Strike

It has come to our attention that South Western Railway will be subject to an RMT conductor strike action on the following dates: Wednesday 8th November and Thursday 9th November.

A reduced service will be running across the South Western Railway network and further details can be accessed via https://www.southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-journey/rmt-strike. However, it is reassuring to note that trains will be operating largely as normal to and from Thames Ditton Station.

Splendid Productions Performance

Earlier this month the Drama and Theatre department welcomed Splendid Productions to the College for the 13th Year. The theatre and education company performed their play to all our Year 1 and Year 2 students before providing a workshop to explore the performance style of a theatre practitioner for our Year 2 students.

Politics trip to Parliament

​​On Friday 6th October Esher’s first year Government and Politics students visited Parliament and Europe House in London. The visit included a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament and the House of Commons Chamber, where students learnt about the different roles and responsibilities of the MPs,

Newly Elected Parent Governor

​We are pleased to announce that Adrian Mills is elected unopposed as Parent Governor on the College Corporation with effect from 1st November. Adrian has a daughter in her first year at the College. We look forward to working with Adrian over his two year term.
