Esher College's Green Week

​Last week was Green Week at Esher College and individual displays were put up by departments around the College to raise awareness of environmental issues and sustainability

Holocaust Talk

​On Thursday 8th March our History students had the great privilege of hearing from Holocaust survivor, Marcel Ladenheim. Marcel was born in Paris in 1939. In May 1941 Marcel’s father was arrested by the French police, leaving his mother alone with a new-born baby and two year old Marcel.

ROSE Training Programme

​Well done to all the Roll of Sporting Excellence (ROSE) students who were involved in a strength and conditioning workshop, with King's College London on 8th February. The students were taken through an hour of plyometric training with specialist coach Chris McCann.

Health & Social Care Health Fair

​​Esher College held the 15th annual Health Fair on Thursday 25th January for their 16-18 year old students. Congratulations to the first year BTEC Health and Social Care students who worked creatively towards producing a successful and lively event.

Annual College Production

​​Over 30 students were involved in Esher College’s latest production, a reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The play, which had performances running over a three-night period from 17 to 19 January, had the potential to be a very disturbing tale without the inclusion of the comic mechanicals.

'Life at Oxford University' talk

​Special thanks to former Esher College student, Cormac O'Malley, for coming to talk to our 6.1 students about life as a student at Oxford University. Cormac, who is is currently in his 4th year at Pembroke College studying Engineering Science, was keen to encourage more students from state school backgrounds to apply to Oxbridge.
