Last week, our Progression Guidance team hosted an impactful Employers and Volunteering Fair in our new café area during lunchtime. This event provided our students with an invaluable chance to connect with a diverse range of local employers and organizations across various sectors, all offering opportunities for part-time work, volunteering and work experience.

Employer’s eager to engage included Dexters Estate Agents who were actively recruiting future apprentices, and the Compass Group, a renowned name in the hospitality sector. They presented enticing part-time work opportunities at iconic venues such as Sandown and Epsom racecourses.

Koosa Kids and Whitelodge offered students interested in working with young people and children exciting part-time work opportunities.

There was also fantastic Volunteering Opportunities available. The England Sports Group presented enthusiastic sports people opportunities for coaching and volunteering and Bupa, a prominent healthcare provider, engaged with students about volunteering opportunities in the healthcare sector.

The fair was a resounding success, providing our students with a multitude of options to explore and connect with local opportunities. The connections formed during this event may open doors to promising career paths and enriching volunteer experiences.

Our Progression Guidance team looks forward to organizing similar events in the future, ensuring that our students continue to be well-equipped for their journey towards a prosperous and fulfilling future.
