Your Admissions Journey

Confirmation of your place (October)

We will email you to confirm if you have been successful in getting a place at Esher Sixth Form College. You will be offered a place at the College if you have been successful in the ballot or if you are classed as a Guaranteed Applicant. If you have been unsuccessful in the ballot or you are on our reserve list, we will also email you.

Course Interviews (November – April)

Interviews take place once a month between November and April online through MS Teams. The purpose of your interview is to agree your study programme. If you have changed your mind about the subjects that you have put on your application form, you can discuss your options with your interviewer in more detail.

You will receive an email a few days before your interview, and at the bottom will be the link (or telephone number) you will use to join. Click here for more information on how to join your course interview.

Welcome to Esher Evening (November)

You and your parents will be invited to attend one of two information evenings. You will have an opportunity to hear from our Principal, Dan Hards, and our Deputy Principal, Sagar Patel. You will also learn about important College calendar events and how the Applicant portal works as well as hearing about the importance of the course interviews.

Parents’ Information Evening (June)

Your parents will be invited to attend our Information Evening where they will hear from our Senior Leadership Team.

This event will focus on everything parents need to know about their child starting at Esher and what to expect, including the induction process, transition, study programmes, support, personal development, PR reviews and enrolment.

Taster Days (June)

We will be inviting you to attend one of our two Taster Days, where you will have the opportunity to attend four taster sessions – one in each of your chosen subjects and a free choice session. The free choice session will give you the opportunity to try a different subject if you are finding it difficult choosing between subjects.

This day is an important day to attend as it will not only give you an opportunity to find out more about your subjects but you will also meet our friendly teachers and other applicants hoping to join the College.

Enrolment (late August)

We will email you with your Enrolment date and time before the end of the summer term.

Our Enrolment takes place over a three-day period although you will only be invited to attend on one of these days and you will only need to be at the College for approximately one hour. At your Enrolment Interview you will meet one of our teachers where you will confirm your study programme.
