Your Admissions Journey

Join us in the summer for our Open Evening and find out more about the College and the subjects you are interested in. You will hear from our Principal and get a chance to meet staff and current students.

You can apply for a place at Esher Sixth Form College via our Online Applicant portal.

Guaranteed Applicants will automatically receive a place once you have submitted your application.

If you are an Open Applicant, you will receive an email confirming whether you have secured a place at Esher Sixth Form College.

In November, you and your parents/carers are invited to a ‘Welcome to Esher’ talk, where you will hear from the Principal, the senior leadership team, and a panel of current students about sixth form life and our admissions programme.

Interviews take place once a month between November and April online through MS Teams. The purpose of your interview is to agree your study programme. If you have changed your mind about the subjects that you have put on your application form, you can discuss your options with your interviewer in more detail.

You will receive an email a few days before your interview, and at the bottom will be the link (or telephone number) you will use to join. For more information visit How to Join my Course Interview.

After your interview, you will receive an offer of a place. To confirm your place, log into your Online Applicant Portal and click Accept Your Offer.

In June, parents/carers are invited to an Information Evening to hear from our senior leadership team about your start at Esher, including the induction process, transition support, study programme and enrolment.

In June, you will be invited to attend one of two Taster Days to experience a full day at Esher with sessions in all your chosen subjects, plus a free choice lesson.

The free choice session will give you the opportunity to try a different subject if you are finding it difficult choosing between subjects.

This is an important day to attend and starts at 8:55am and finishes approximately at 2:55pm.

We will email you with your Enrolment date and time before the end of the summer term.

Our Enrolment takes place over a three-day period although you will only be invited to attend on one of these days and you will only need to be at the College for approximately one hour. At your Enrolment Interview you will meet one of our teachers where you will confirm your study programme.

At the beginning of September, you will be invited in to meet your tutor and tutor group for a morning or afternoon of activities.

At the beginning of September, you will receive your timetable by email, ready to start lessons the following week.
