Last week saw another hugely successful Internships program.

244 of our students participated in the fantastic 3-day event as part of the work experience week. The students heard from a highly engaging guest speaker each day, who shared their journey and insights.

On day 1, Alumnus Adam Abouzeid, HR Business Partner @meta and former Royal Marines Officer, talked about having resilience in life and career.

Topics included:

People Management – The Commando Way
Bring comfortable with uncertainty
Cheerfulness in the face of adversity
Decision making
Leading by example

On day 2, we heard from the very talented Alex Cairns – also Esher Alumni. Alex is VP of Operations at Vane Capital and the CEO and Founder of The Youth Vote. And on day 3, we heard from the impressive Aalia Walker, the Head of Marketing and Growth at Milk & More.

Student Elli Raggett told Cat Elmes, Careers Adviser and Alumni Coordinator, “I really enjoyed working with other students and doing all the tasks. I found the speakers engaging and very interesting.”

A big thanks to the fantastic team at 8 billion ideas!
