Professional Workshops Inspire Performers
During Wider Skills week, Drama & Theatre A Level and Performing Arts Vocational students enjoyed some exciting specialist workshops designed to develop their skills and deepen their understanding of the industry.
Led by experienced industry practitioners currently working across stage and screen, students took part in a series of specialist workshops focusing on acting for screen, voice and accents, and monologue preparation. Students got an invaluable insight into professional practice, while gaining practical techniques to enhance their performances.
As part of the programme, students also visited London’s Fortune Theatre to watch the acclaimed production Operation Mincemeat. The performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all and provided further inspiration by showcasing high-quality professional theatre in action.
The week proved to be a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, refine their craft, and explore different aspects of performance from a professional perspective.
Students were enthusiastic about their experiences:
“It was a great way to step outside my comfort zone and challenge myself!” said Marija S.
“It was so much fun and a really helpful experience being able to work with acting professionals!” commented Ane-Kathrine B.
Lucy W. added:
