Apprenticeships in Accountancy, Marketing and Broadcasting were the most popular amongst students for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 (NAW2022).

The Progression Guidance team at Esher Sixth Form College ran several lunchtime sessions to help students progress with the apprenticeship application process.

Apprenticeships are an excellent way of ‘earning and learning’ and a viable pathway for many of our Esher Alumni who want that hands-on, workplace experience while also gaining industry recognised qualifications.  This week, Cat and Sally from Progression Guidance, led two lunchtime sessions to help students find and apply for their dream apprenticeship.

Cat says, "The most popular apprenticeships students were interested in were for marketing, broacasting and accountancy with employers such as the BBC and KPMG. Students can take Higher Level Apprenticeships (Level 4-6) which are equivalent to a foundation degree and above. These apprenticeships can be highly competitive and applying is much like a job application, but fortunately there are lots of opportunities out there."
