First year Politics students had a busy week with lively debates from two visiting MPs; Minister of State, Kwasi Kwarteng (pictured) and Labour MP, Peter Kyle.

On Friday, the College welcomed Kwasi Kwarteng - a leading Brexiteer, Eton Graduate and Conservative MP for Spelthorne – on site and students were able to challenge the minister on a range of subjects. While on Monday Peter Kyle, MP for Hove and Portslade, gave his reflection on the the recent General Election and hopes for the new Labour leadership.

Meir Shabbat, Head of Politics at Esher Sixth Form College, said, "These visits provide a fantastic opportunity for students to hear, debate and evaluate different political ideologies at such an interesting time in UK politics. We are very grateful to Kwasi and Peter for their time."
