Congratulations to 6.2 student, Annabel Walker, for winning first prize in the Esher College Book Review Competition. The competition was run from September until October half term, by our Learning Resource Centre, with the aim of encouraging students to read more for pleasure. There were two major prizes to be won, but every entry received a free gift. To enter the competition all the students needed to do was to borrow a book from the main LRC, read the book and write a short review. The draw was made by the Assistant Principal, Dan Hards, on 1st November. Annabel won first prize for her review of The World is Blue by Sylvia Earle and won a £30 gift voucher. Bethany Foo won second prize for her review of And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, and won a £15 voucher.
