6.2 Extension Studies Options

In your second year, students have the opportunity to choose a new Extension Studies course.

These courses are designed to complement your core academic courses, whilst also supporting your progression after Esher.

Your 6.2 Extension Study will replace your 6.1 Complementary Study.

The study options are designed to help you develop skills and support your progression. Students continuing with four A Levels, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, or a sports team do not need to add an Extension Study option, as these programmes continue into the 6.2 year.

There are courses which are relevant to all students, and others which are more specialised.
