“Taking photography as an extension study has been a highlight"
Esher Sixth Form College is the only college where I felt I would be encouraged to be a more independent student. I can make my own decisions about my studies. It’s also given me a broader perspective in terms of studying, socialising and shaping my personality to become a determined and passionate young adult.
My courses: The support I’ve had from my teachers and peers means I’m learning in a safe yet challenging environment, where my opinion can be heard and my doubts reassured. We have regular progress reviews and these have made it easier for me to obtain a steady and consistent achievement rate. They’ve also allowed me to identify areas where I need to improve.
Best bits: A particular highlight has definitely been the extension studies programme and taking photography. My advice to any student thinking about coming to Esher is to always try new things, because as long as you work hard towards them you will succeed.
After Esher, I hope to study in France to pursue my passion for French and combine it with more artistic aspects. I also want to travel across Europe and to other continents to widen my cultural awareness and explore new things.
