Meet Kin-Yee – Esher Sixth Form College

Kin-Yee comes to Esher from Grey Court School.

She studies Fashion & Textiles, Sociology and French A Levels and wants to do a Degree Apprenticeship after Esher in a creative industry.

“I was excited about the huge range of courses that Esher has, and it is one of the few places that allowed me to do Fashion and Textiles with French and Sociology. There is so much support and resources available to you – nothing can hold you back.”

I was ready for a change and chose Esher as I wanted to go somewhere bigger, meet new people and have more control over how I spend my time.

While quite a few of my school friends came here, I have made a lot of new friends at College as everyone is new and wanting to branch out. I have only been here one term and already feel very settled. I usually spend P4 socialising in the cafe!

I like to spend my study periods in the fashion rooms or the Learning Resource Centre. There is always a fashion room available (even when another class is on there will always be room for you!). I plan my study periods, so I stay on top of my work. For example, during my Supervised Academic study period in the LRC, I always get my Sociology homework done.
