Meet Hattie
Hattie comes to Esher from Streatham & Clapham High School.
She studies Physical Education, Biology and Geography A Levels. Hattie is interested in studying Physiotherapy at university but is also considering options such as an apprenticeship.
Extension: Netball team
“The teachers are brilliant here at Esher – they give you the right amount of support. You have the space to step up, but they are there to fall back on if you need it. I have really appreciated that especially when I first started at College and was finding my feet.”
My old school does have a sixth form, but a large college appealed to me as I wanted to meet new people and take advantage of more opportunities.
Esher is a welcoming community and that’s obvious right from the start. I have made lots of friends in my classes and through Netball. All your friendships groups become connected as the circle just keeps getting bigger as everyone gets to know each other.
Netball is my Extension Study and it’s been a fantastic experience. Wednesday is game day and it’s fun competing against other Colleges, get some exercise in and hang out with your friends.
The workload is quite a lot more, so you need to stay on top of it and be organised with your time. I am part of the England Women’s U18s Touch Rugby Squad, so I like that I have the flexibility with my timetable to manage my A Levels as well as my high-level sporting commitments.
