Meet Andy
Andy comes to Esher from Thamesmead School.
He studies Mathematics, Physics and Economics A Levels and wants to do Automotive Engineering at university and fulfil his dream of working in Formula 1.

“I was drawn to the welcoming community feel of Esher. And it’s been exactly that experience. I can really focus on my subjects and know there is help at hand immediately should I need it. You’re treated like an adult here and I really like that.”
I have a later start on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and use these private study periods at home to get extra revision done or my homework. I would recommend to new students starting at College to use your study periods well. My private study periods help me not only stay on top of my workload but also get ahead. I usually go to the LRC2 or the mezzanine level of the library to work or quietly hang out with my friends.
I also like being able to manage my own time more and fit in my other interests like football and fitness around my studies. I also like how everyone is free to be themselves – you don’t wear a uniform.
The teachers are really nice at Esher and there is always a drop-in clinic to go to if you have a question about something in class that you didn’t quite understand.
