Welcome to the 6.1s from the Esher Student Union
We at the Student Union are thrilled to warmly welcome all our new 6.1 students (year 12s), and other prospective students, as they begin their journey with us.

Moving from secondary school to college is an exciting and significant step, and we’re here to help make that transition as smooth as possible. Our aim is to bridge the gap between students and staff, advocating for any needs, ideas or concerns students may have. We also enjoy organising a wide range of events that bring our college community together.
Last week, we launched the new academic year with Freshers’ Fair, giving our new 6.1s the chance to settle in, meet new people, and explore everything Esher has to offer. From joining societies like Model United Nations or the GSA to being part of the Christian Union or Eco Committee, there really is something for everyone.
We wrapped up the week with Pizza and Pong —free slices of pizza and lively ping pong in the cafe!
Throughout the year, we organise a variety of events that celebrate the spirit of our community including the Esher Culture Day – a celebration of diversity! Students and staff share their heritage through traditional clothing, food and a giant world map where staff and students create a maze of pins that show how many cultures and backgrounds are represented here at Esher.
We enjoy running these events and look forward to seeing you at future ones.
