Cycling

Cycling to and from College is actively encouraged – a large area of covered cycle racks in the staff car park near the main student entrance is available for use by cyclists. We strongly advise all students to wear cycle helmets.

By Train

Esher Sixth Form College can be reached on the SWT Line from Waterloo to Hampton Court (Waterloo, Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Berrylands, Surbiton, Thames Ditton, Hampton Court). Trains run every half-hour and the College is less than a 5 minute walk from Thames Ditton Station.

Alternatively, a fast service is run by SWT between Waterloo and Guildford. Trains run every half-hour and the College is a 15 minute walk from Esher Station.

Discount Travel by Train

The student fare card allows the holder to buy season tickets for their home to school/college journey only at a one third discount. Season tickets are available for periods of seven days (minimum), one month and between one month and one year. To qualify, your journey must begin and/or finish in the administrative County of Surrey.

Alternatively, students can purchase a 16-25 Railcard, which will give 1/3 off train tickets for anyone aged 16-25 https://www.thetrainline.com/trains/great-britain/railcards/16-25-railcard

Discount Travel by Bus

Surrey Bus Student Fare Cards entitle 16–18 year old Surrey Students attending full-time education, to travel on Surrey buses at the same fare as under 16s. The journey must begin and/or finish in the administrative county of Surrey. You can apply in advance to ensure your fare card is ready for collection in at the beginning of term. As an additional concession, Abellio Surrey, Arriva, First, London General, Metrobus, Quality Line, Safeguard, Southdown and Stagecoach have also agreed to charge the under 16 rate on evenings, weekends and school/college holidays for any journey which starts and/or finishes in the administrative county of Surrey. The only exception to this are London buses who no longer accept student fare cards. The routes affected are: K3, R68, 216, 411 and 465.
