If you have been to an event at Esher Sixth Form College, you will have met our fantastic Student Ambassadors.

We have a dedicated team of approximately 80 enthusiastic and committed Student Ambassadors from all subjects who represent the College throughout the year.

Student Ambassadors play a vital role in showcasing Esher Sixth Form College, engaging with prospective students and their parents.

All Student Ambassadors undergo a recruitment process and receive a training workshop at the start of their tenure. This workshop helps develop key personal skills, including confidence, communication, body language, and public speaking.

All students are invited to apply towards the end of their first year at Esher.

Why become an ambassador?

Becoming a Student Ambassador at Esher is a rewarding experience that provides invaluable skills and opportunities that you will use for the rest of your life.

Our ambassadors tell us that these are the main reasons they apply:

  • To build confidence & personal skills – Gain experience in speaking and engaging with different audiences.
  • Receive training– Learn skills that will benefit future career opportunities.
  • Make friends and expand their network – Connect with like-minded peers across different subjects.
  • Enhance the College experience – Get involved and contribute to the College community.
  • A boost for their UCAS Personal Statement – Stand out in university applications with valuable extracurricular experience.
  • For future employment opportunities – Many universities offer paid Student Ambassador roles, and experience at Esher puts you in a strong position to be hired.

Being an ambassador was one of the best decisions I made! I find being an ambassador a great opportunity to meet people outside of your course. The friendships I made as an Esher ambassador are some of my closest still (especially Charlotte and Liam!). I love how flexible of a role it is, as I could fit it super easily around my academic and sport schedule, and no hours are compulsory.
