MPs Officially Open New Building
Monica Harding, MP for Esher and Walton and Munira Wilson, MP for Twickenham and the Liberal Democrats’ spokesperson for Education, officially opened the new computer science and humanities building.

The new facility completes a major development project at the college that has been in progress for over a decade and also includes a sociology block, a dance studio, and a specially designed Additional Learning Needs Centre.
Principal Dan Hards highlighted the impact of the new building, saying, “This new building provides four new classrooms, including two state-of-the-art computer suites, as well as new meeting rooms and offices to support our growing sixth form community. A project like this takes dedication, teamwork, and a shared vision. I want to thank everyone who’s contributed — together, they’ve helped create a modern, welcoming space that reflects the ambition and energy of our college.”
The opening ceremony was attended by trustees Oliver Schuster and John Thater, as well as architects Mark Penfold and Clara Feibusch from Macallan Penfold. The group toured the new classrooms currently in use for A Level courses such as Classical Civilisation, Philosophy, and Computer Science, as well as the Information Technology BTEC. They also observed a Latin enrichment class and participated in selecting key words for a new Latin motto.
Monica Harding commented on the occasion: “It was a real privilege to mark the opening of this fantastic building. When I see the investment that Esher Sixth Form College is making in its pupils, the commitment of staff and the long-term vision of the leadership, I know that Esher is a place which can kindle that lifelong love of learning.”
Munira Wilson, added: “It was such an honour to join pupils, staff and my colleague Monica Harding MP to officially open Esher College’s wonderful new building. I know these new, modern facilities will be enjoyed by staff and pupils alike, including my constituents who commute from Twickenham.”
The College would like to sincerely thank Monica Harding and Munira Wilson for their ongoing support and for officially opening this important new facility.

“The College continues to be a source of pride for our community. It is a jewel in our local crown, and I want to congratulate every single person involved today, for your investment in our young people, our local future, and our country’s future.”
