Meet Your New Student Union
Please meet our newly elected Student Union for 2025/26.

Hello Everyone,
We as Esher’s official Student Union, aim to bridge the gap between students and staff, advocating for any needs, ideas or concerns they may have.
Our team consists of:
Flora, our SU President
I’m absolutely thrilled to have been elected this year, and the whole Student Union team is buzzing with excitement about the events we’re planning for you starting this September. Social life at Esher is vibrant and such a big part of the student experience.
As a Student Union, we have organised a wide range of activities, whether that’s a bake sale, a culture day, or our now completed and popular, Summer Festival. There are so many ways to get involved in student life, from joining societies like Model United Nations to being a part of the Christian Union. No matter your interests, there’s a place for you here.
Thea, our SU Vice President
As Vice President of the Student Union, I work closely with our team during meetings to plan events and discuss what’s best for the student body. I collaborate with the SU President, Flora, to help lead our meetings and events, and I also take on the role of treasurer for our events, managing budgets and financial planning.
In addition to this, I sit on the Board of Trustees with the president, where I work with the College’s Deputy Principal to discuss the quality and standards of the College, helping to identify areas for improvement and contribute the student perspective to creating a better overall environment for all students.
Kyle, our SU Marketing and Communications Exec
The most important aim in my role as marketing executive is to promote our events in fun and engaging ways, in which the majority of people would see (via social media) creating a direct line of communication between us and students. I especially enjoy curating videos & poster designs to properly endorse our events as I find it’s the easiest way to grab student’s attention. I am most looking forward to organising the Christmas festival in December alongside my great team!
Emma, our Events and Charities Exec
So far, we have organised the first ever culture day, a bake sale, a colour run and an outstanding summer festival. It has been amazing working in such a determined team and to have been able to work to knit the college community closer.
Oli, our SU Eco & Sustainability Exec
I am Oli Fletcher, and I am the Head of the Eco & Sustainability at Esher. I enjoy working alongside the Eco committee to help improve Esher’s sustainability, for example working regularly on the allotments. I am looking forward to Green Week next year along with many other SU events. I am also looking forward to improving the Sustainability not only for our year but for future year groups too.
Alisha & Ruby, our joint SU Equality and Welfare Execs
With the unwavering support of the SU, we believe that, through the events we have planned together this year, we have been able to fulfil our role adequately. Culture day for us was a real success – as it gave people an opportunity to come together as a diverse yet united community which is something special. Next year, we look forward to carrying out more of our shared campaign promises and planning even more events.
Building on the success of events such as Culture Day in May, we organised our biggest event yet – The Summer Festival, which turned out to be a delightful success. The festival featured a variety of attractions, including food vendors like the Afro Kafe and Dough Shack, an ice cream van, exciting inflatables and live music, all of which were popular among students.
Additionally, we also supported the College during Year 11 Taster days, and Open Evenings for Year 10 parents, working alongside our Student Ambassador team, handing out tasty snacks and drinks and engaging with prospective students and parents.
As we look ahead to the upcoming year, we would like to express our deepest thanks to all everyone, (especially fellow students) who have contributed to the successes of our ran events. We are incredibly proud of our accomplishments this year and are looking forward to a new academic year filled with fresh opportunities and memorable experiences.
Warm regards,
The Esher Student Union
