Esher Sixth Form College is committed to empowering our students to pursue their ambitions with confidence and clarity—especially when it comes to competitive and demanding pathways like Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science.

Chemistry mentors with chemistry teacher Seema Maden

This term, the College has been proud to deliver a comprehensive programme of support tailored specifically for students aspiring to enter these vital fields.

A series of informative sessions were organised to help students navigate the complexities of the application process, understand the academic and personal demands of these careers, and hear firsthand from those already on the journey.

Seema Maden, Head of Chemistry and Medicine, Vets and Dentistry Coordinator, said, “It was a pleasure to welcome back Esher alumni Harry Lee, now studying Medicine, and Christian Atkins, currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Science. Their insights into university life, personal statements, interviews, and managing expectations were invaluable and inspiring for our current students. We also hosted Charlotte, an outreach representative from Brighton and Sussex Medical School, who provided expert guidance on what medical schools are looking for in applicants and how students can stand out.”

These sessions are part of our ongoing commitment to ensure every aspiring healthcare professional at Esher Sixth Form College has the knowledge, resources, and encouragement they need to succeed.

A big thank you to all guest speakers and to all the students who attended and engaged with enthusiasm.
