Esher Sixth Form College’s Photography and Fine Art A Level students are celebrating national recognition after three students had their work selected for the prestigious Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA) Art Exhibition 2025.

The annual exhibition invites submissions from sixth form colleges across the UK, with this year’s theme – Harmony – asking young artists to explore ideas of unity in a world often marked by unrest, polarisation and discord.

Representing Esher in the SFCA exhibition are two 6.2 Photography A Level students: Avi Kolah, whose powerful image The Weight of Bangles was selected, and Cassia Bhasin with her evocative piece titled Harmony. They are joined by 6.1 Fine Art A Level student Kennitta Dunstan Kundaya, whose artwork Suspended Grace also made it into the national showcase.

Becky Voller, Division Director for Creative Arts, praised the students’ achievements: “We are incredibly proud of our very talented students and their amazing teachers. Their work speaks to the importance of creative expression in making sense of the world around us.”

The SFCA exhibition highlights the crucial role that sixth form colleges play in nurturing the next generation of professional artists. It offers students a platform to express themselves and showcase their technical and creative skills.

Further success followed in the Fine Art department, as two 6.2 Fine Art A Level students were selected for the Royal Academy of Arts’ Young Artists’ Summer Show 2025. Millie Cosh’s piece ‘Shopping’ will be exhibited on-site at the Royal Academy from 15 July to 10 August, while Kristen Rose Dauz’s work ‘Bridging Worlds’ will be featured in the show’s online gallery during the same period.

Madeleine Osikoya, Head of Fine Art, said: It’s fantastic to see our students’ creativity recognised on such a prestigious platform. Their dedication and originality continue to inspire us all.”

Congratulations to all these young artists who are already making their mark on the national stage.
