I took the Law Pathway as an extra enrichment option, which includes law-based activities like taking part in the Bar Mock Trials. I’ve also combined this with a weekly Pilates class, which allows me to fit in some exercise into my day, as well as relax and decompress from the demands of my academic subjects.”

At Esher, I do the Sewing Bee extension study and I’m on the Women’s Basketball team, which has helped me learn to communicate while in high stress games! I’ve also added the Critical Thinking excellence pathway to my timetable, which is helping me gear up my thinking for more complexity so I am better prepared to apply to higher status universities.”

Extension Study

Taking the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) helped me develop my writing and research techniques, which I could apply to my History A Level course. My EPQ was on ‘How racial and gender bias within the Metropolitan Police affects public opinion.’ I had to give a presentation and learnt how to properly present to a group of people, speaking clearly, confidently, and answering questions I was not prepared for.”
