Christmas at Esher
The College was buzzing with festive cheer this December, as students and staff came together to celebrate the season through our Student Union Winter Fair, a fantastic Christmas Concert, a Christmas card design competition and community fundraising for local charities.
Our 6.1 tutor groups continued a much-loved annual tradition, generously donating 50 Christmas hampers to the East Elmbridge Foodbank. Brimming with treats and thoughtful goodies, these hampers will help bring warmth and brightness to families in need this Christmas. Thank you to the Estates Team for their support.
The campus was sparkling with seasonal spirit during the Student Union Winter Fair with live music from student bands filling the air, delicious hot chocolate, and the ever-popular tombola drawing the chocolate loving crowds. The chocolates were kindly donated by our 6.2 families with all proceeds going the homeless charity, Shelter.
Competition was fierce at the College’s annual Christmas card design competition. 6.1 Art and Design BTEC and Graphic Communications A Level students were invited to submit their designs with staff all voting to select the winner from 18 submissions. Congratulations to Dylan McAlpine, designer of the winning entry and who won a £25 Amazon voucher.
The College wrapped up the term on a high note with the annual Christmas Concert, showcasing the incredible talents of our musicians and the skill of our production team. Thank you to everyone involved for creating such a memorable finale to the term and setting the perfect tone for the Christmas break.
