41 weeks per annum (term time plus 2 weeks)

(start date to be discussed at interview)

The Elmbridge 14-19 Consortium co-ordinates collaborative activity for the benefit of 14-19 year olds studying at the four secondary schools and two colleges in the borough of Elmbridge.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people across multiple sites at a time of significant change, both in terms of the nature of the curriculum and the opportunities available for progression. The successful candidate will generally spend one day per week in the five institutions involved in the shared employment of the careers advisor. Further details can be found in the application pack.

This post is 35 hours per week over 5 days for 41 weeks per year. There will be occasional out of hours requirements – e.g. parents' evenings. The 2 weeks out of term time commitment allows for this, as well as attendance at results days and enrolment. Some flexibility in the precise number of hours per week is possible, but the minimum commitment will be 25 hour over 5 days per week. Details of possible job share arrangements can be found in the application pack.

Actual salary based on 35 hours per week will be £24,701 to £27,638 per annum, inclusive of fringe area allowance (pro rata for a lower weekly commitment), depending on experience and qualifications.
