This triumph marked the culmination of an unbeaten league campaign for the team, who showcased their dominance with 10 wins and two draws across 12 games.

The match against Godalming unfolded as a tense affair, with both teams having a chance to win the league depending on the result. Esher only required a draw to claim the title, while Godalming desperately needed a win to snatch the championship. In a display of determination and skill, Esher emerged victorious with a 3-1 win, sealing their status as champions and capping off a remarkable season.

The 3rd team is a mixture of returning second years and talented first years who gelled well early on to produce a confident and proficient team. Standout performers included the dynamic first-year centre-back pairing of Stan Eckford and Josh O’Neill, the midfield engine that is Musa Dibba, and the prolific goal scorer Fred Gannon, who notched over 25 goals throughout the season.

Acknowledging the collective effort of every player, Coach Andy Powell commended their dedication both on and off the pitch. Andy said “I am hugely impressed with the commitment they put in and their attitude towards improving as a team. It just shows that hard work on the training pitch results in success in games”.

Congratulations to the team and their coach Andy Powell.
