The start of the new academic year saw the unveiling of our newly refurbished Netball and Tennis courts, part funded by the College General Fund.

The courts are used by our two Netball teams, who finished second in the Surrey Sixth Form League, beating college rivals Godalming College. With Netball squads now selected – we are raring to go for another great season.

Alan Reed, Head of PE and Sports, says, “The new courts are a great addition to the department. We have two high quality Netball teams and the new facility provides an excellent provision from which our experienced coaches can develop the technical and tactical aspects of the sport. Last year we came second in the league and progressed through a few rounds of the National Cup, which we hope to improve upon that this year. We are also able to offer a complementary study in racket sports which provides a great alternative opportunity for many students. Additionally, the courts will be used to support lessons in BTEC Sport, A Level PE and Sports Leadership."

The courts are also now available for lettings. For more information please email Derek Hempston at dhempston@esher.ac.uk or call 07833 526986
