Last week was ‘Green Week’ at Esher College and various activities took place around the College to raise awareness of environmental issues and sustainability. Throughout the week each day had a different focus and students were encouraged to get involved. Students discussed topics within their tutor groups such as respecting the environment, helping to cut pollution by leaving the car at home, eating well and cutting down on sugar and fat intake, and saving paper and water consumption. The week ended with an unplugged gig in LRC 1, where our very talented Musicians performed live to an audience of students and staff. Lots of ‘Green Week’ displays were put on around the College by different departments including a display of furniture in reception made from recycled material.
