We are proud of the way that so many of our students have engaged with the Black Lives Matter movement and we look forward to working with the whole College community to support the campaign and to bring about change. This process has already started and the following plans are in place:

* We are in a dialogue with representatives of second year students and a meeting is scheduled for later this term

* The Equality and Diversity Committee met on Friday 5 June and an Anti-Racism Group was one important action agreed

* Black Lives Matter will be an agenda item on the leadership team’s first meeting with the new Student Union on Monday 22 June

* Black Lives Matter and tackling racism will be the key item for the PDP session on Thursday 25 June

There is much to consider, but listening to our students is an important start.
