We were very fortunate to welcome the Head of St Peter’s College in Oxford, Mark Damazer, to Esher College yesterday afternoon. Mark was invited to speak to a theatre full of students about the opportunities provided by a university education and specifically those available at Oxbridge Colleges. He talked about the value of investing time in researching universities before making a choice about courses and the importance of following your passion when it comes to choosing what to study. Mark, the son of a Polish delicatessen owner in North London, studied History at Cambridge University before going to work for the BBC for over 25 years, where he had various roles including Controller of BBC Radio 4.
