Last week was ‘Green Week’ at Esher College and various activities took place around the College to raise awareness of environmental issues and sustainability. Throughout the week each day had a different focus and students were encouraged to get involved. Students took part in a quiz within their tutor groups discussing deforestation, water usage, biodegradable issues and the carbon footprint of a cat.  Staff and students were encouraged to leave the car at home for 1 day and the results were empty spaces in the car park.  The week ended with an unplugged gig in LRC 1, where our very talented musicians performed live to an audience of students and staff. Lots of ‘Green Week’ displays were put on around the College by different departments including a display of an up cycled/recycled project by 1st year Fashion and Textile students.
