Esher Sixth Form College is receiving £15,070 via the 16-19 tuition fund for this academic year (2020-21), and expects £12,523.16 for the coming academic year (2021-22).
The College used this funding in 2020-21 to provide:
Learning support to students with a low prior attainment – 6 groups of students for one period each week.
Academic literacy support for students with a GCSE grade 4 in English Language – 2 groups of students for one period each week.
One full time additional learning mentor role to provide support to all students with disclosed learning needs. This support is a mix of 1 to 1 and small group work.
The College is using this funding in 2021-22 to provide:
A 6 week learning strategy support classes for students with low prior attainment scores - 6 groups of students for one period each week.
This 6 week learning strategy course will run again after each progress review period for those students identified as needing extra skills support.
Academic literacy support for students with a GCSE grade 4 in English Language – 7 classes of 15 students for one period for 12 weeks. Additional support for Maths and provision of a Functional Skills maths course.
Retention of the additional full time learning support mentor role to provide support to all students with disclosed learning needs. This support is a mix of 1 to 1 and small group work.
