Students who are performing at an exceptionally high level in sports outside of College are identified by their tutors in the September of their AS year.

Each year approximately 30 students are part of the Esher Role of Sporting Excellence (ROSE) programme. A range of sports are represented, from basketball to clay pigeon shooting. Teaching staff are made aware that these students have demanding training schedules on top of their college work. In the summer term a ROSE day is held when outside speakers including sports nutritionists, psychologists and Olympians come to lead interactive seminars with ROSE students. Each month a “ROSE student of the month” is selected and their achievements are celebrated in a display.
