Aromatherapy Introductory Workshop

​Aromatherapy is the use of natural plant oils known as Essential Oils; their use provides both psychological and physical benefits. The aim of this workshop is to teach you how to use essential oils at home; you will learn the theory, history and art of Aromatherapy. You will also be introduced to the components, benefits and applications of key essential oils, and how to blend oils to make your own bath and body products. During the day you will learn how to use pressure point techniques and essential oils to help promote relaxation and ease stress and tension.

Balancing Diet & Boosting your Energy Levels

​This workshop looks at what a balanced healthy diet looks like for an energetic person and how we can tweak elements of our diets to live healthier lives with more energy. We will look at what causes poor energy levels both personally and in the work environment. Individual foods as well as meals and dishes will be recommended to improve energy management. The workshop will also touch on vitamin supplementation and lifestyle suggestions.

Mindfulness Workshop

​Mindfulness is a simple and powerful way of training our attention, it is about becoming aware and present in the here and now. Mindfulness can be used to combat stress, improve our health and the quality of our lives as well as inducing deep relaxation and calm. The course will introduce you to various techniques including breath work, meditation and postural development, showing you how to incorporate these practices in to your daily life enabling you to be more aware, calm and relaxed.

​A short course on lighting, which combines basic theory with practical application. Students will gain hands-on experience of professional lighting techniques. The session is interactive so that students will gain the greatest benefit. A digital camera is required.

Reducing Stress & Improving Mental Health

​As 70% of all illness is stress induced, this workshop will look at how stress can influence various conditions, how diet can play a positive role in buffering the effects of stress, and which foods can support optimum nutrition and health. We will also look at how nutrients in specific foods can improve mental health, such as concentration, memory, IQ, and mental agility. An overview of conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia and how certain foods and diets can aid in the prevention of these conditions.

Understanding your Digestive System

​An intricate look at the digestive system and what happens when things go wrong. We explore each organ involved in the processing and digestion of food from the mouth, stomach, pancreas, liver to intestines. WE will look at what the best foods are to eat for conditions such as constipation, food allergies and intolerances, IBS, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, bloating, celiac disease and heartburn. We also consider the role of probiotics in the gut and its importance in digestion and immunity.
