Singing for fun 

Find your voice, develop confidence, learn to sing a variety of songs as a group or solo. An opportunity to come together, have fun and sing. No experience necessary.

Pilates

Pilates is a complete body workout that helps to balance strength and flexibility, improving co-ordination and posture, without stressing the heart or joints.

It helps to relieve stress and, because it is safe, it is ideal for all age groups.

Introduction to Map Reading

​Learn to read a map, use a compass and plan your own walks in the country. A lifelong skill which will build confidence and fitness. Taught by a qualified mountain leader, the course comprises one evening theory session and one practical full day out where you will use skills learned and some natural navigation techniques. On completion of the course you will be able to plan a walk and lead a group of friends.

This course runs over 2 days, Wednesday night at 19:00-21:00 and Saturday at 10:00-15:00.

Meditation & Mindfulness

​A beginner’s introduction to the practice of meditation, the course will explore the history and theory of meditation. It will examine different techniques to develop awareness, mindfulness, relaxation and calm. The course combines teaching with practical work to practise meditation exercises that can be used as part of our busy and stressful lives.

This course runs on Monday nights at 19:00-21:00 and lasts for 5 weeks.

Tai Chi for Health Intermediate

​A course for exploring Tai Chi in depth based on the Sun Style 73 Form, suitable for those with at least a year’s experience in Tai Chi.

There will be time for participants to practise Forms already learnt, such as the Yang Style 24 and Sword Forms.

The tutor is a Master Trainer for the Tai Chi for Health Institute.

These courses run on Wednesday nights 19.15 - 20.45
