I really like the friendly environment that Esher College provides. It is a really refreshing change from a school environment and it will now be less of a shock when I go on to further study.

I chose Esher College after my school had recommended it to me. It seemed like a more grown-up, adult environment where there was mutual respect between the teachers and the students. It was whilst I was at school, studying Art, that I decided that I wanted to do Fashion. At school I started getting into buying and selling clothes and I started following fashion journalists, such as SHOWstudio. I was also reading lots of reports about fashion shows and watching fashion show panels.

I really like the friendly environment that Esher College provides. It is a really refreshing change from a school environment and it will now be less of a shock when I go on to study at Art school. I knew a couple of people when I arrived but I’ve made so many new friends since I’ve been here. The facilities at the College are brilliant, especially in the Fashion department where they have screen printing, over 20 sewing machines, and you can laser cut and engrave fabric.

Taking two creative A Levels has really helped me to put together a large portfolio for my foundation course applications. My teachers have also been a great help and support throughout my time here. I have offers to study an Art Foundation course, from both Central St Martins College and Kingston University and now I just need to decide which one.
