Coming to Esher has really prepared me for university as it is such a sociable, friendly place and I have not only been able to make lots of new friends but also learnt to work independently, thanks to the support offered and the resources in place.

The support from my teachers throughout my time at Esher has been fantastic. All the teachers are highly qualified and specialists in their subjects, and some are examiners, running activities such as ‘Past Paper Club’ throughout the year, which I have found very useful in helping me revise effectively for my A levels.

There is a large range of study options available at Esher College. Alongside studying English Literature, History, and Psychology, I was also involved in extension studies such as the Debating Society, which helped me strengthen my essay-writing skills. I also completed my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification during Wider Skills Week. This year, I am completing my second year Extended Project on the history of punk. Both this and my first year complementary studies have been valuable assets for my university applications, which I could not gain anywhere else.

After my A Levels, I plan to study English and History at university. Coming to Esher has really prepared me for university as it is such a sociable, friendly place and I have not only been able to make lots of new friends but also learnt to work independently, thanks to the support offered and the resources in place.
