The college will receive the final certificates from the summer series of examinations from the exam boards at the end of October. Certificates may be collected on the following dates, details to be published to students nearer the time :
|Tuesday 12th November 2013
||10am - 2pm|
|Wednesday 18th December 2013
||10am - 2pm|
|Tuesday 7th January 2014
||AS & A2 Certificates
||10am - 2pm|
If 6.2 students did not collect their AS certificates on the 12th November, the next and final opportunity will be on Tuesday 7th January. Details will be emailed to students and posted on the portal weekly bulletin nearer the time. After that date all remaining uncollected certificates will be held until Autumn/Winter 2014 when A level certificates will be available. Please remember your student ID when collecting certificates.
It is appreciated that there are some circumstances that will make it difficult for former students to collect from Esher College on the days specified. Parent(s) are therefore able to collect on their son/daughter’s behalf accompanied by ID and a letter or email of authorisation from the student concerned. Please note that without authorisation certificates will not be released to anyone other than the student themselves. Certificates that remain after 7th January will be posted as previously advised.
Former students are encouraged to collect their certificates on either of the two relevant dates above, however A2 certificates that remain uncollected will be posted on Friday 10th January 2014 via Recorded Delivery to the last known home address as listed on the college database. It is therefore important that you notify the college of any change of address that happens after you have left.
If certificates are returned to the college as undelivered, the college will keep these for a maximum period of 5 years, after which they will be destroyed. Please keep your certificates in a safe place as you may be required to produce them when applying to further or higher education or for future employment. Should you misplace your certificates, you must apply directly to the exam boards for replacements, and for this service they will charge a fee of approximately £30.00 per certificate.’
The Wisepay online payment system is used for resit entries and payments. Full instructions on how to use this facility are available as a download below. Since the removal by the Government of the January exam series, resits of AS exams are now only available in the summer series of a student’s A2 year. Advice, therefore, should be sought from tutors/subject teachers before deciding to enter for a resit. Careful consideration should be given to exam load and potential exam clashes. The following deadlines apply :
|Wisepay opens for resit entries & payments
||3 February 2014|
|Late fee charged from
||3 March 2014|
Wisepay closes for resit entries & payments at midnight (this deadline is fixed and further late entries will not be accepted beyond this date)
|9 March 2014|
|Deadline for withdrawal of resit entry with refund of fee
||16 April 2014|
JCQ Regulations – National
In conjunction with the college, students and parents have a responsibility to ensure they are aware of the guidance, rules & regulations governing examinations. Students must, at all times, be aware that failure to familiarize themselves and adhere to these regulations could lead to disqualification from the examination and the overall qualification.
These regulations and the college’s expectations regarding student conduct during exams are set out in detail in the Exam Guidelines Booklet, which is updated every year and distributed to students via email with a document link when they start a course of study at Esher. It is also available as a download below. An announcement is made confirming these regulations at the start of every exam.
Please find listed below, links to the Joint Council for Qualifications documents detailing such regulations:
