Esher College students recently organised their Fresher’s party at McClusky’s nightclub in Kingston and successfully raised £1,000 which is being donated to the Esher College Africa Trust (ECAT). The trust supports over 80 students who are AIDS orphans at school in Africa. Our students have worked hard over the last year to raise funds for ECAT and the money will go towards helping with the orphans’ school fees and basic necessities such as shoes, warm clothing and stationery.
On Tuesday 1st December, World AIDS Day, the college fundraised for the event with students wearing their pants over their clothes in college to raise young people’s awareness of HIV and AIDS.
Donations will go to the Terrence Higgins Trust, who have been at the forefront of the fight against HIV and AIDS in the UK for over 20 years.
