Keith Blackwell OBE, the Principal of Esher College, has announced his intention to retire at the end of this academic year. In consequence, the impending vacancy has been advertised nationally, competitive interviews held and the College is extremely pleased to announce that the current Deputy Principal, Dan Dean, will become the new Principal from 1st September 2010.
Keith Blackwell commented “a great deal of change is due to affect colleges in the near future and, as I will reach retirement age next month, I have decided to pass the reins on to someone younger and with more energy. The appointment of Dan to be my successor is an excellent decision and I look forward to Esher College achieving even greater success in the future under his leadership”.
Dan Dean added, “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead this outstanding College in what promises to be an exciting time for post-16 education. The changes planned for the sector provide a real opportunity for the College to cement its excellent reputation.”
