Esher College is an extremely successful, open access, non-selective Sixth Form College situated in Thames Ditton, near Hampton Court, Surrey.
We are one of the few colleges in the country to achieve ‘Outstanding’ in all areas of our last two full Ofsted inspections and we were awarded Beacon Status in 2005. As an over-subscribed college, Esher College has a reputation for delivering exceptional results and we pride ourselves on creating a friendly, vibrant and purposeful atmosphere for all students.
The A Level pass rate for summer 2012 was 98.9% and this included an impressive 54.6% at A*-B grade.
When students join Esher College they become part of a community of over 1700 full-time students from 100 different schools. We offer an extensive range of AS and A Level courses, including a good selection of those with a more vocational slant. There are a wide range of activities on offer, in which students participate alongside their A levels; these include a number of sporting activities and team games, music, dance, languages and drama.
We believe that education is not just about academic success, but also about preparing young people to be responsible, informed citizens who have respect for themselves and others. To this end, Equality and Diversity is at the forefront of what we do. Esher College has a proven track record in enabling students from all types of backgrounds to reach their full potential.
The College has an outstanding reputation for progression after students have finished their studies, with around 90% going on to Higher Education each year and a large proportion of these going on to top universities.
With excellent accommodation, including a drama studio, lecture theatre, sports hall with gym, a fully equipped Learning Resources Centre and a specialist Art block, it’s clear to see why Ofsted praised our facilities.
All staff at Esher College are highly experienced in delivering post-16 education, both in teaching their subjects and in the support they provide through the tutorial system. Teaching staff are knowledgeable and passionate about their subject areas, and are committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
Getting to Esher College is surprisingly easy, with Thames Ditton train station only a 2 minute walk away, and the A3 close by.
