Basic Computing - an Introduction
This two-week course is designed to introduce users to personal computers. Learners will find out what a PC is and what an operating system is. They will learn basic computer skills such as turning on a computer, logging on to Windows, and working with files. Users will also learn to identify and use the major components of a PC, both externally and internally, including: disk drives, monitors, mice, keyboards and printers.

Introduction to Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver is the industry-standard web creation programme used by web designers to plan, set up and manage websites. The course begins with an understanding of good site preparation techniques and then moves on to page design, leading ultimately to a full site of multiple pages with hyperlinks, image maps, frames, buttons and navigation bars. The course ends with workshop sessions where you can create your own site, with the advice and guidance of the tutor.

Apple Mac & iLife

Apple Mac Computer Introduction
A course for novice Apple Mac (OSX) users that begins with an exploration of the desk top, file management and navigation features of the Apple Mac. Search Engine Optimisation and Web Marketing
This course is intended for anyone who has their own website and is looking to improve the number and quality of their visitors or who are considering working with a web marketing specialist. The ability to make simple changes to a website is useful but not essential for this course. Topics covered include: Search engines and how they work, improving your search engine position using organic (free) SEO, identifying the search keywords used to find your site, building link relationships with other sites, pay-per-click marketing, using Google Adwords and affiliating marketing schemes. The course discuuses what work, and more importantly, the "Black Hat" tricks that don't work which can get your site permanently removed from search engines. Real world examples are provided and students are invited to discuss their websites and marketing ideas.
